There are setups where the director wants handheld, but the shot is too precise to actually go handheld. The bobblehead is built for that in-between: a low-profile attachment that adds controlled, organic motion to your dolly or sticks shots.
It fits between your head and base plate. RBQ receiver plate on top, TNG plate on the base. The rubber mounts come in two hardnesses. Red is stiff: a subtle sway that reads in the frame without feeling constructed. Blue is softer, closer to a real handheld walk. The right choice depends on the lens length and the look. Having both hardnesses on set gives you options without any extra rigging time.
Machined from 6061 aluminum in the shop in East Vancouver. A second set of mounts is available for $125 if you want to switch between hardnesses.
